Here are a few tips to help you get up and running with the OSN SuperSite Videos®.
Installing the RealPlayer®
-
The OSN SuperSite® makes use of the latest in Internet streaming media. The RealPlayer® allows a user to view a full multimedia presentation while it is downloading. This eliminates waiting for a file to completely download and then viewing or listening to it. We have chosen RealPlayer® because of its reliability, popularity, and groundbreaking streaming technology.
You may already have a previous version of RealPlayer® installed. This presentation requires RealPlayer® 9 or better and may not function properly with RealPlayer® Version 9 or earlier.
If RealPlayer® launches but gives you an error saying:
This document is not a RealAudio or RealVideo Document.
...or your browser returns an error message saying it does not know what to do with the file, you probably don't have RealPlayer® installed correctly, or are using a version older than Real Player®9. Please visit REAL.com to download a current FREE version.
Common Problems
-
"REQUESTED FILE NOT FOUND. THE LINK YOU FOLLOWED MAY BE OUTDATED OR INACCURATE" - This error often occurs when a user has RealPlayer® Version 2.0 You must upgrade to the latest RealPlayer® to take advantage of the multimedia presentation. See instructions above.
"THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT A REALAUDIO OR REALVIDEO DOCUMENT " - This error occurs when you are trying to access a RealPlayer® 8 presentation with an earlier version of RealPlayer®. You must upgrade to the most recent presentation. See instructions above.
PROGRAM FAILS TO OPERATE TO COMPLETION - While we endeavor to provide support as wide as possible, it is impossible to ensure 100% compatibility. We have found that the combination of Internet Explorer used through The IBM Global Network does not allow the program to function properly or fully. For those users, we strongly suggest you use netscape as the viewing browser, as that has proven to operate properly through the IBM Global Network. In addition, with some updated versions of AOL 5.0, the AOL software may spontaneously close in the middle of the program. This can be avoided by simply opening internet explorer or netscape outside the AOL software and viewing it through the external browser. If you have problems with a particular browser, please try using a different one. You may also report problems through the email link at the bottom of the page.
