The Department of Ophthalmology at Denver Health Medical Center (DHMC) is recruiting an academic pediatric surgeon. Applicants should be board eligible or board certified in pediatric ophthalmologic surgery. DHMC is the regional referral Level I trauma center affiliated with the University of Colorado. Anterior Segment Surgeon package includes attractive base pay of $275,000/yr with incentive pay easily bringing total to $350,000++. Vitreoretinal Specialist package includes attractive base pay of $800,000/yr with incentive pay easily bringing total to $1,000,000++. Three months of vacation per year are included.

Well-established, growing, fast-paced Midwestern surgical eye practice is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial practice administrator to contribute to the development and implementation of its strategic vision.
This multi-physician group delivers both cornea subspecialty and general eye care in a state-of-the-art facility that includes laser suites, an accredited ASC and advanced diagnostic equipment. Practice is heavily involved in clinical studies and peer-reviewed research and supports a cornea and refractive fellowship training program.
The Practice Administrator is responsible for providing service-oriented, innovative and cost-effective leadership for all aspects of the practice except those directly involving professional medical judgment. This includes developing, implementing and monitoring the practice's policies, procedures and programs. Strong written, verbal and analytical skills, a must.
Applicant must have a college degree and, preferably, an advanced degree in a practice-related field; a minimum of 8 years of work experience in senior management for moderate (30+ employees) to large eye practice with direct involvement in ASC management; solid accounting, medical billing/coding and financial management skills; considerable experience with integrated medical office software, including EMR; and knowledge of managed care contracting issues.
